The Madden School of Business will award the first annual Masterpol Humanitarian Award to Le Moyne alumnus Jeffrey Masterpol ’12.
Jeffrey exhibited heroism and selflessness in saving a life in 2006 — an act that left him a quadriplegic and resulted in the tragic loss of his brother Jerry Jr. After several years away from college tending to his health, Jeffrey returned to Le Moyne and successfully completed his studies in marketing.
Inspired by his story, donations from Jeffrey’s classmates and professors were used to establish the Masterpol Humanitarian Award in the spring of 2012. The award will be given annually to a student who represents the best altruistic qualities exhibited by Jeffrey and his brother. Students selected for this award combine their leadership abilities together with compassion to make the world a better place.
Jeffrey will be presented with the award on November 27, 2012, at 7p.m. in the Curtin Special Events room in the campus center. We invite everyone to join us in celebrating and honoring a very special person.
