Le Moyne College held a ceremony on May 23 to officially mark the beginning of renovations to Mitchell Hall, which will eventually house the Madden School of Business. The work, which will be completed in time for the start of the Fall 2013 semester, involves the renovation of the first floor of the building and a transformation of the exterior of the building. When completed, the first floor will include a trading floor, a financial education center, a forensic accounting laboratory, an analytics and marketing research laboratory, and the Dean’s office suite.
The event was emceed by Madden School Executive-in-Residence Jim Joseph ’83, with remarks provided by President Fred Pestello followed by Sharon (Kinsman) Salmon ’78 (Chair of the Le Moyne College Board of Trustees), Madden School students Michael Lyons ’15 and Kate Waltman ’14, Michael Madden ’71, and finally Fr. John Bucki (Rector of Le Moyne’s Jesuit community).
In his remarks, President Fred Pestello also noted that the campaign to support the Madden School has surpassed its goal of $15 million. A light lunch was served following the ceremony.
